LAX Shop Steward Nominations

The nominations for LAX Shop Steward Positions are being accepted for all work / bid areas on all shifts. Selections for all Shop Steward Positions will be by majority vote of those casting ballots, from each work / bid areas represented by that Shop Steward. Candidates must be members in good standings.

The open nomination period for Shop Steward Positions shall run for:

Fourteen (14) consecutive calendar days starting:

8AM 08-03-2017 thru 8 AM   08-17-2017

Nominations shall be in writing and submitted to the representing Chief Steward or his designee. Nominations can include yourself or another candidate.

 At the conclusion of the open nomination period, the Chief Stewards will determine if an election is required. Only those work / bid areas having more than one candidate will require an election.

 Voting will begin at 8AM 08-21-2017 by secret ballot and conducted by the Chief Stewards. The open voting period will be seven (7) consecutive calendar days.

 At the conclusion of the voting period, ballots will be counted by the Chief Stewards and at least one other Union member.

 Results of the election will be posted following the conclusion of voting.
